Privacy notice

Effective October 11, 2026 · Version 2026-10-11

This notice describes the data handled by the QUEEN early-access portal. The portal asks for the information needed to create and recover your account and manage your application. It does not ask for a wallet address or connect to your wallet.

Information we store

  • Your email and authentication details are managed by Netlify Identity. Your email is also stored privately with your application account. Passwords are not stored in the membership database.
  • Your alias, normalized alias, member ID, actual status, join date, optional X username, and optional avatar are stored to provide your identity and public profile.
  • Your agreement to the terms and privacy notice is recorded with a version and timestamp.
  • Administrator status changes are recorded with the reviewing account identifier and time.

Public and private data

Your alias, member ID, join date, status, optional avatar, and optional X username are public. Pending and waitlisted profiles are labelled as unapproved. Rejected and suspended profiles are not public. Your email and authentication account identifier are not returned by public profile APIs or included in membership card images. Authorized administrators can review private emails to manage applications.

Why we use your data

We use your information for authentication, account verification and recovery, alias uniqueness, application review, profile editing, personalized cards, and security. This portal does not implement marketing email campaigns or automatic access-status notifications. You can check your current status from My identity.

Storage and providers

The portal is hosted on Netlify. Structured membership data is stored in Netlify Database, authentication is managed by Netlify Identity, and uploaded avatar files are stored in Netlify Blobs. Images are re-encoded and resized before storage, which strips embedded image metadata. Site fonts are requested from Google Fonts; those requests expose standard connection information to the font provider.

Security and session storage

Netlify Identity uses authentication cookies and browser session storage to keep you signed in. Persistent membership data is stored on the server, not in browser-only state. To limit abuse, temporary request counters use hashed identifiers derived from the requesting connection or account and a short time window. Expired counters are deleted by a daily cleanup function. Netlify may retain infrastructure logs under its own policies.

Sharing outside QUEEN

Sharing on X opens X in a new tab and sends the prepared post text and public profile link to the composer. You decide whether to publish it. Downloaded cards and shared profile previews may be retained by other people or platforms, even after your alias is changed or your profile is removed. Social preview caches are controlled by those platforms.

Editing and removal

Sign in to My identity to edit your alias, X username, or avatar, or permanently remove your membership. Removing membership deletes its profile, application, and current avatar; it does not delete your Netlify Identity authentication account. Authentication records are managed separately by project administrators. Minimal suspended-account identifiers and administrator review history may be retained for abuse prevention and audit purposes.

Your choices

An avatar and X username are optional. An email and password are required for account verification and recovery. You can browse the public portal without registering. No advertising trackers, wallet tracking, or third-party analytics scripts have been added to this application.

Your email is private. Your identity is public by design. Share only the alias, avatar, and X handle you are comfortable publishing.
